Competent ship operation can be achieved by better communication between the ship owner and ship management companies. Reputable ship management companies are those that can provide technical expertise within a reasonable budget. These firms should also be concerned with the crew training and intended trade of the ship. The ship owner and management company should also be able to work well with the marine equipment manufacturers and suppliers.
