Creche course

Article Abstract:

More UK employers are either setting up their own creches or employing childcare specialists to run creches in an effort to attract trained women back into the workforce rather than train new recruits. Before setting up a workplace creche it must be registered with the local authority to comply with the Children Act. The local authority will offer guidelines on such issues as staffing numbers, equipment, space and catering. Using an outside contractor to set up a creche can be expensive and the benefits to the workforce would have to balance this cost.

Comparison of two sediment oxygen demand measurement techniques

Article Abstract:

Rates of sediment oxygen demand (SOD) in the Tennessee-Tombigbee River in Mississippi were determined using laboratory respirometry. Results were compared with simultaneous in situ measurements made by ththe EPA with their standard chamber. Researchers pointed out that the results of the SOD approximated those of the EPA's chamber results. However, they failed to address the SOD of the river under free stream flow conditions.

One peep vs. docudrama

Article Abstract:

Docudramas can be fine works of art but viewers must be able to tell the difference between fact and fiction. Docudramas tend to pervert facts, while facts tend to destroy the essence of docudramas by correcting exaggerated parts of the film.
