DRTV computer firm faces fraud lawsuit
Article Abstract:
Direct marketer Computer Personalities Systems and company president George Capell are being sued by Pennsylvania Attorney General Mike Fisher for fraudulent and deceptive business practices. Computer Personalities Systems marketed its computer systems through the Internet and TV infomercials between 1999 and 2000. The suit was filed in response to 140 complaints received by the state's Bureau of Consumer Protection. It seeks damages for consumers, civil penalties and a permanent ban from engaging in fraudulent and deceptive business practices.
