CWIDO6 sees evolved JETTS put to test

Article Abstract:

A further evolution of the British Army's future Joint Effects Tactical Targeting System (JETTS) was tested at the 2006 Coalition Warrior Interoperability Demonstration (CWID06), the UK element of which was staged at Portsdown West in southern England. JETTS is coming to the end of its two-year assessment phase and is due to enter development and manufacture in early 2007.

IIT explores maritime variant of High Capacity Data Radio following UK trials

Article Abstract:

The triumphant trial of the Bowman UK/VRC340 High Capacity Data Radio (HCDR) by the U.K. Royal Navy and the Royal Marines along the Norwegian coast in 2006 has lead to launch of the Centaur Maritime HCDR. The IIT is publicizing the export version of its HDCR as the root of an Internet protocol (IP) maritime tactical network (MTN).

TRT nears EUROPCOM geolocation demo

Article Abstract:

The EUROPCOM (Emergency Ultrawideband Radio for Positioning and Communications) system to demonstrate a new geolocation system to aid the tracking of personnel within buildings and urban environments is to be demonstrates shortly. The civil and military uses of the EUROPCOM system are discussed.
