FRES uncertainties throw Sweden's parallel SEP program into disarray

Article Abstract:

The delays done by the United Kingdom Ministry of Defense's (MoD's) decision in late 2003 to contract a systems house to conduct the assessment phase of its procurement strategy for the Future Rapid Effects System (FRES) has resulted into confusion of the future of Sweden's parallel SEP (Splitterskyddad Enhetssplatform) program. A group was set up to address the requirements and project harmonization, and technological risk mitigation, so as to balance the situations.
